In a shocking incident, a man tragically lost his life after allegedly using a potent adhesive instead of a condom for contraception.
Salman Mirza, 25, known to be a drug user, reportedly sealed his private parts with an ultra-strong epoxy resin during sexual intercourse with his partner, with an unidentified green substance discovered in his abdomen.
The pair were said to have been inhaling the glue “for a kick” before deciding to use it as a contraceptive during their rendezvous at the Amber Hotel in Ahmedabad, a city in India’s western state of Gujarat in 2021.
Within a day of checking into the hotel, Salman was found unconscious in the “shrubs” outside the premises by an acquaintance. He was rushed to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
According to The Times of India, the couple decided to engage in sexual activity after taking drugs. “Since they did not have any protection, they decided to apply the adhesive on his private parts to ensure that she does not get pregnant,” the newspaper said.
According to a senior officer and friends of the deceased, Salman had the glue with him as the couple frequently inhaled its fumes.

In the aftermath of his death, Salman’s family has claimed that it was his former partner who applied the adhesive to his genitals. They have filed a complaint with the police accusing his partner of murder.
Police have confirmed that samples have been sent for forensic analysis to ascertain if this was indeed the case, and an autopsy is currently underway.
Authorities have confirmed that the 25-year-old’s death resulted from “multiple organ failure”.
Salman was the sole breadwinner for his family, supporting his elderly parents and two sisters. The investigation into his death, which occurred last June but has only recently emerged publicly, remains ongoing.
Officers stated: “We have availed the first forensic report of Salman Mirza who died on June 25 in mysterious circumstances. But we haven’t yet been able to ascertain the exact cause of his death.
“The two had reportedly gone to the hotel with another woman in an autorickshaw on June 22. We checked CCTV footage and found Mirza and his girlfriend entering the hotel. He was found unconscious the next day.”
Forbes highlighted that The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) maintains a website cataloguing various contraceptive options available.
The site categorises them into sections including intrauterine contraception, hormonal approaches, barrier techniques, emergency contraception, and permanent birth control solutions. It noted: “Note that ‘glue privates shut’ is not one of the methods listed.”
